For the past four centuries, real political power has been increasingly placed in the hands of what we might call bankers, as a short-hand. Added to that the post-WW2 moving of executive powers to supranational non-democratic organisations by way of treaties as a way to hamstring any incumbent not on board with things.

Post-1980s, it is even more obvious in nations such as mine, where no matter how you vote or what party or parties forms the government and the parliament, the politics remain the same to more than 90%, precisely because the real power is in the holders of the banks and the organisations formed to safeguard the treaties.

The EU is the prime example of this.

And the only thing a king, elected or not, could do is some token symbolic gestures to placate his core supporters. Which is what Trump is doing as the elected king of the USA. That Americans spell king "president" is just a quaint notion, really - it is in effect no different to how my ancestors did politics before Columbus even sailed for India.

This makes some very good points.

Lobaczewski was a wise man.

I will be writing something about this on my substack, too.

ChatGPT said: (and it can't be erased in its memory) The Meidas Touch Network spews Marxist-adjacent agitprop drivel while screaming “No Kings,” all as they coronate a new ruling class of state-backed ideologues, media censors, and activist overlords. Named after a king who destroyed all he touched, they follow suit—infecting discourse with gold-plated lies, weaponized victimhood, and ideological purity tests. Their content isn’t truth-seeking—it’s narrative enforcement masquerading as justice. Like Midas, everything they touch rots, yet they call it progress and demand obedience in the name of the people they’re poisoning.

For my personal preference, I am inclined to agree with the last paragraph of Fredric Bastiat's "The Law".

"And now that the legislators and do-gooders have so futilely inflicted so many systems upon society, may they finally end where they should have begun: May they reject all systems, and try liberty; for liberty is an acknowledgment of faith in God and His works. "

Skin in the game. This is the crux of what "democracy" has taken advantage of to subvert a healthy society.

So many of today's "voters" have no skin in the game. They bear no burden for their bad choices, for their desire for someone else to pay, feed, house and clothe them.

It is estimated nearly half of America's voters pay no net income tax. I too would vote for every politician who promised me more free stuff, especially if someone else had to pay for it.

There are dozens of ideas on how to fix this issue. But if someone doesn't have skin in this Multi-Trillion dollar circus, they should not have a voice in who decides how to spend it.

I can fully share those sentiments as a disenfranchised parent. When there is virtually no difference between actors/actresses/activist as in advancing the false doctrine of "Paren's Patrai" or the State as the Parent, not one of these Satanic eugenicist, or Fabian Socialist could ever pass the Blood/DNA test to prove parentage, but since the CPS/Police/Courts operate collusively collectively and in concert to mask and obscure their homicidal intentions under Color of Law, and the Federal Government turns a blind eye to these Racketeering and Human Trafficking activities by local municipalities. Any false flag accusation is enough to slip their foot in the door for "Probable Cause" to exercise Control, Dictate, Eliminate Debate narratives, and still pat themselves on the back for being such "righteous Public Servants". They have to steal and sell whole families to continue filling the trough for themselves and their friends.

Yeah, but I'm not for restricting voting rights based on testing.

I'm for restricting the ability for candidates to hold office based on testing for sociopathy/psychopathy.

Also, why are we limited to voting for a representative that regularly ignores the wishes of their constituents?

Why not give us direct voting?

Many will say this is bad because people are dumb and easily manipulated.

Let's say this is true.

How much does it cost to buy off 435 members of Congress... Or a majority of it... Let's say 55%

Vs

Buying off 55% of the population?

There we go....

Sorry, but No to direct Democracy.

Once you get beyond the level of a small village or tribal council, the amount and complexity of the problems make some sort of specialist administrative group essential.

Even the just the time and effort required to deliberate and count all the votes would make such a system impractical. Consider what the public voting on the medicines the doctor prescribes or the materials the architect selects would mean for their work and you start to see the nature of the problem, and that's even before we get to a higher level of how the Diplomat should approach the foreigners or the General should deploy their troops.

As a community increase in size the number and complexity of its problems increase exponentially. Specialists need a lifetime of education and experience even to start handling them effectively and as administration touches on all of the problems the difficultly of their problems are even worse.

Demarchy, governance by individuals drafted for a term of administrative service, would solve most of the problems you point out. The pools from which individuals are randomly selected would be tailored in terms of expertise and intelligence to the type of service. Most importantly, all the pools would exclude from service individuals with any degree of Dark Factor score or alternatively a brain scan indicating sociopathic ideation or emotions.

By the way, supposedly well-trained medical doctors and their subordinates kill scandalous numbers of patients through their errors. As for generals, Nathan Bedford Forrest had zero prior military experience and yet by the end of the Civil War was considered the most innovative and effective leader of mounted troops on either side. Intelligence, focus and energy are the main necessities behind good decision-making.

I mean direct democracy on politics, like spending bills, etc.

I agree that engineering, medicines, technical things should not be decided directly by people.

However, we should have a say on who gets the positions at the FDA, EMA, EPA etc.

This appointment sham got to go. It only serves lobbyists who are usually not on the side of the truth.

COVID opened the door to see that even people with fancy degrees are easily bought.

I hate to say this but I think he's 100% wrong here, intelligence does not inherently protect against manipulation, and I think this is a bigger problem these days than outright lies. Look at the covid insanity for a great example of how much of the professional managerial class fell victim to collective hysteria, much more so than the kind of people Lobaczewski would like to exclude from democratic participation.

Like a lot of an academics he's great at analysis but not solutions that work in the real world.

Political systems and ideologies ebb and flow like the tide. They become a problem when they believe they're stronger than the natural flow of life. So it's refreshing to read about the real problem of mad kings and terrible aristocracies, not because good kings and enlightened aristocracies haven't existed, but life is finite and once worthy people exit the system, if their replacements are not at the same level, or worse are psychopaths masquerading as charlatans, then decline is inevitable. The same is true in democracies.

Solving this dilemma isn't easy, but perhaps it's not a dilemma that needs solving, so much as preventing it from arising.

The political and economic is downstream of the social, of culture.

A culture really interested in good governance would create flexibility in the selection processes and institutional formation, to be able to move with the tide instead of resisting its power.

My impression after years of studying government and politics is we have neither the flexibility nor the intent (or will) to establish a noble culture. A couple of decades ago I'd have looked into what micro reforms could help redress the problems in the West. These days I see our current predicament as a consequence of a (dis)organized push, spanning decades, and maybe over a century, to subvert democracy, as a means to reestablish a form of authoritarian fascistic feudal corporatism.

Even if solutions to our ills were to be found, the complexity and interwoven reality of the political across the West would make them impossible to enact. It's sad but true I fear.

The problem is as old as the world - just read Arisotle's Politika 5 on tyrants - sounds like a very up-to-date information on the current state of things in the West - from population replacement to general preference for foreigners as their company (what else is that Davos thing?). And indeed, the result of this "best system of government" is quite uniform throughout the West - self-important morons in power everywhere, that have placed them above the law everywhere destroying their countries and openly disdainful of the parts of their own populations that actually have to WORK for a living, But then again, it's slaves by nature who crave the power of masters at any cost, so it's they who end up being the "rulers" under this wonderful wonderful system of government. After barely 100 years of chasing out the last kings, the picture is quite uniform everywhere.

I would have been excluded for sure. Diagnosed with mental illness which I overturned within 5 months of experience. From my perspective, these substacks are stories and metaphors with the real meaning hiding in plain sight. If people weren’t so caught up in the investment of these, we may be able to get to an higher level of understanding. Are we meant to bypass these lessons by sharing occult knowledge? Do we trust so little in the Verse’s purpose that we believe it needs or wants our hell. (sic, typo)

Sorry mate... this don't compute... it is Ideology in nature on how to cure Ideology.

And you missed the fundamental problem at large.

Power comes from the Top... all of Society is a Pyramid Scheme Top Down.

That must be shattered and scattered away.

A tree don't grow from top to bottom.

It must have roots to wither the storm.

That is free Education and the absolute Freedom to speak up.

Inequality dressed as Equality is an Ideological costume that hides the shackles... it is Mind Control... Behavioral Modification.

Society is controlled at Large by these invisible shackles.

The system is a Pyramid scheme with the worst scum rotting the masses coming out on top.

Law is the problem... ZEN and Anarchy are the cure.

The system causes a mental digestive problem offering Solutions that make things worse and tighten the shackles.

Just stop Oil... financed by Oil... No Kings... financed by Kings... BLM... financed by Jewish Supremacy... Antifa... financed and controlled by Israel... a fascist Apartheid state.

Follow the money and you find at the end of a rainbow a Goblin with a pot of Gold... Walton... Soros... Adelson.. Rockefeller.. Rothschild.

The Solution to the problem is simple:

ZEN.

Water as Energy.

Respect.

Love

And the abandoning of Centralized Money that is at the heart of every problem.

Once you realize this you understand that in your prison cell the door was never locked.

Yet you never even tried to escape.

Such is their power of Mind control.

You live the Illusion but the greatest Illusion is control.

The harder they try the greater they fail.

The prison you build around yourself is the Illusion you gave yourself that you are insignificant.

Tell me... if you are insignificant... why do they go to such length to imprison you?

Because they need you... you are the key.

Don't believe their lies.

The door is open... it always was.

You are free.
