I have long noticed that Capitalism and Communism are two faces of the same coin. As Antony Sutton pointed out in his many books, the Bolshevik and Nazi revolutions were both financed by Wall Street.
I used to be involved in Libertarian politics in my younger years, mostly because, as an "Aspie", I empathized with outsiders and have always been strongly "civil libertarian" in my outlook.
However, my disenchantment started when I tried to read Ludwig von Mises" "Human Action" with its self-referential, circular philosophy of "praxeology." He states, "The incentive that impels a man to act is always some uneasiness." What a trivialization of the soul! I see here the "flatness of affect" that Lobaczewski talks about in schizoid intellectuals.
To put it another way, left-wing "Communism" and right-wing "Economism" share the same reductionist materialistic roots. I like that word "Economism." It "kinda sorta" SOUNDS like Communism because it "kinda sorta" IS like Communism!
At the core, all the modern definitions of Totalitarian/Authoritarian Economic Models are in actuality REBRANDED to create confusion since 'Centralized, Abusive, Central Govt. thieving upon its citizens has long been defined IMPERIALISM. In reality, there is NO left or right...It's a construct used to confuse just as the words used to define Govt. associated with Economic Systems is devised to confuse. Confusion, itself, is a tool used by evil.
IMPERIALISM became associated with negativity since the U.S. Declaration of Independence followed by U.S. Revolution which was reinforced in the mind of the average citizen of any country with the French Revolution. While in reality, the two were completely different based in ideology and origin as well as stated goals and declared ambitions...The common citizens viewed them the same at the time and even to this current day.
Reached the conclusion...All Earthly Govt. is imperfect and at risk of pathology as those attracted to any variant of pathology are always present to implement any given system to selfish advantage over others. Evil is, after all, a universal sickness; the worst of disease. The U.S. System has seemed better than other Govt. Models since built-in Federalism is an obstacle for any seeking to achieve a Bureaucratic Imperialism as the U.S Govt appears to have become in these recent 80 years since FDR and WWII.
The Holy Bible basically concerns GOVERNMENT and the fact of humans lacking the ability to govern...Which only God has the power to actually do. With age, have consistently agreed with The Holy Bible more and more.

Very interesting article but it seems like you're equating the hyperliberalism of groups like gender ideologues - who absolutely DO want to destroy family relations - with communism, simply because those ideologues call themselves communists. Actual communist societies have been by and large socially conservative, and while they might have/had problems, it feels to me a bit disingenuous to connect them to liberalism
That wasn’t exactly the point I was making. The connection was that they both function as pathocratic ideologies. And even if communist countries became socially conservative with time (i.e. after they became entrenched), one of the central tenets of all socialist ideologies is a strong bias against the family. For that point, see “The Socialist Phenomenon” by Shafarevich.

Though many have seen the international bankers as the "bad guys," I don't think the model of developing cash flow through debt and interest is solely the creation of bankers. It is the traditional source of wealth for the investing classes. Now, with IRAs and the general opening up of investment markets to "ordinary" people, investing is widely practiced and no longer the "sin of the rich." Yet, strictly speaking, investment creates "wealth" without any productive work being done on the part of the investor. Well, how do we support those who are too old or sick to work? The only answer is some sort of system that generates cash flow in the name of someone who isn't actually working. Children fall into this category as well.
Of course, when investment is indulged in with no idea that it is being done to support productive work, then the "wealth" generated by investment (or loaning money) is false. Supposedly, the loan is paid back because the borrower has used the loan to become more productive, thus earning enough to pay off the loan. If this is not the situation, then the activity of loaning money becomes unsustainable in the long run. When we lost American manufacturing this is essentially what happened, and with all the most risky loans being held by the federal government, we see that government in a huge economic crisis, while corporate America seems to be doing OK. We cannot let this pattern continue or it will ruin us (as individuals) financially, as it is in the process of doing.
At any rate, it is interesting to see all of this come from a Russian academic. In these days particularly, we share much too few thoughts and ideas with that great (former) eastern empire. The same could be said of China, I suppose.
Hi Larry! Thank you for your comment. Khazin acknowledges that lending money to businesses has played a key role in the development of capitalism. He emphasizes that charging interest has been objectively necessary to cover the business risks. On the other hand, he explains how and why the way the financial system operates has changed over time. Chapter 19 of the book shows that starting from the 1980s, the system shifted from crediting producers to predominantly extending loans to consumers. On top of it, new attitudes towards the loan repayments were adopted transforming the old principle "pay off your current debt before borrowing again" into a newer "keep on borrowing and try to refinance your revolving debt." At the same time, people were discouraged to think about the total amount they owed; instead, they were taught to focus solely on whether they could afford the monthly payments to service their debt. Khazin explains how this persistent and growing debt became an "outside of the system source of consumer spending" profoundly affecting the entire economy and setting it up for a future crisis.
The author sees nothing wrong in making money from investments per se. For example, if someone owns shares of a business and the business appreciates over time, then it is totally normal for the shareholder to get wealthier as well. At the same time, in Chapter 11 Khazin warns us that " using outside-the-system methods of growth stimulation results in the formation of fictitious (not supported by the real incomes of the final consumers) assets, such as derivatives. Additionally, it inflates the prices of old, real assets. This is very obvious if we look at stock prices. In the past, when stocks were real assets, their prices were first determined by dividend yield, later by looking at the company's net profit per share, and then by the price-to-earnings ratio. Ultimately, the era of intangible assets arrived, adding "goodwill" and anticipated future profits (largely virtual), propelling stock prices higher and further away from objective reality." These are just minor highlights; obviously, reading the entire book is required to fully grasp the author's concept. One who accomplishes this will be rewarded with a much broader and deeper understanding of the current economic problems and what to expect in the future.
The only logical observation is: WHY SHOULD NATIONS GIVE THE PRIVILEGE OF ISSUING OF THEIR CURRENCIES TO BANKSTERS? And, consequently, call that printed paper nots (fiat money) a loan that must be payed off with interest?
Let me have some retarded "economist" answer such obvious question.
I don't see the padlock actually anymore on Michael Shellenberger's PUBLIC stack anymore either. I guess the idea is to not discourage sharing just because there's a paywall. Subscribers might not try sharing if they see a stack or most of a stack is behind a paywall. As it appears these days, everything posted can be shared but the person doing the sharing has no idea how much will actually be shared - maybe all, maybe a paragraph...
Some Substacks which are "locked" appear to offer "sharing" but in fact only present a limited amount followed by a paywall. Those that I subscribe to, that have a paywall, used to, but no longer display a small image of an either locked or unlocked padlock. So I cannot tell whether something is shareable or not, or whether it presents a few opening paragraphs - or not.
