Thanks Harrison! I count my lucky stars every day… I am most especially grateful that when our children were very little my husband instinctively became as involved with them as I was. No pushing, no prodding required on my part, no feigned interest, he was the genuine article all the way through and now grown they are equally close to both of us. This was in a time when the child rearing was more left up to the mother and many fathers just weren’t that interested in their kids and or voluntarily genuinely enjoyed spending one on one time hanging out with them!
Yup he’s always been a good; kind, very fair minded hardworking masculine man and there is nothing wrong with masculinity in my books. He valued being a good provider, and he became a natural father. My only criticism would be that he has always been a man of few words so I’m the talkative one yet with our children he was immediately so completely comfortable and at ease with them so formed a long and lasting loving relationship with each one of them. That was not my experience with my father so our kids were and still are very lucky in my eyes as am I to have my almost lifelong partner and my best friend still sharing this road of life alongside me.
