No, the only experience I ever had with Scientology was when a wealthy friend of mine asked me to help him evaluate their program(s), back in the mid 70s. We both became quite put off when they kept sending in several different groups of their members to alternately promise all kinds of improved states of mind if ... he would just keep giving them more money to achieve "higher states" of various levels of awareness. We finally told them we weren't interested, but they were quite persistent and eventually approached insulting rudeness over several days of various forms of near harassment.
Never got around to examining their concept of, "Suppressive Person" ... unless that was their live demonstration of same.
I am afraid that's what YOU were demonstrating by going in there as investigators rather than interested parishioners. If you want to investigate Scientology, study their materials and then see if you can apply them independently and measure the results.
Oh, I can assure you that we had studied their material before we invited them to come talk to us. It just rapidly became obvious that there was greed at work on their behalf.
Did you ever look at Hubbard's work on the Suppressive Person?

I looked into Scientology myself, and rejected it as soon as I found out what Hubbard taught about the demi-god and "galactic overlord" Xenu:

Draw your own conclusions .....
You mean "greed" like wanting to earn a living so you can feed your family?
