I'm posting this here because the comment box is broken. I cannot take sides in this either. Mostly I just see people acting appallingly. When I hear Senator Graham say we should destroy all of Iran's oil infrastructure, I think he is worse than the worst of Hamas, and his thinking risks a total global war no one wins. I think the only thing to be done now is to not get emotional and put one's own house in order.

I know three highly anankastic parents: a neighbor, an in-law, and a co-worker. I would have assumed anankastic parents were unreasonably strict and controlling (and maybe some are), but in these three cases, the exact opposite is true: they refuse to see any fault in their perfect little angels.
When two kids are in a conflict, most parents will err on the side of correcting their own kids. Not so with anankastic parents: they will take it upon themselves to reprimand other people's kids, while excusing away the misbehavior of their own. They insist that their children would never lie to them, even when they obviously do. The kids will lie about other children, and even those children's parents, and the anankastic parent will accept this at face value.
In all three cases, their children seem pathologically spoiled and casually duplicitous.
With respect to the drop in homicides in Western Europe from the 14th to 20th centuries, that could also be attributed to colonial expansion. Harrison, not to blow up your comments but I have some thoughts and you're probably going to get some wall text from me. In the meantime: can you explain the 'asthenic?' You referenced it here, and Lobaczewski mentions it several times in his book. Modern psych literature seems to roll this into 'dependent personality disorder,' but that doesn't seem right based on the context in which Lobaczewski uses the term.
You're right, DPD as it's currently categorized doesn't really fit what L described. The only real parallel is something like "weak-willed." The closest I came to finding a parallel in Western psychiatry was Cleckley's description of a/anti-sexual types in Caricature of Love. But I have a Polish book on personality disorders with a section on asthenic, I think, so I'll scan and translate it.
