All these points are very well-taken.

I subscribe to Dave Rubin's channel at Locals (a social network he helped invent) which is now part of Rumble. Dave was raised Jewish and has many Jewish friends who are considered today to be "conservative" though in past times they may have been considered more "liberal." He supports Israel and so accepts Israel's justifications for its own behaviors.

My subscription gives me the right to comment on his posts, and so I do.

But I am not a Jew but a Scientologist. And I am not ready to accept assertions that seem "obvious" to others. So every time I comment on a post that has to do with the current conflict, I remind the others that there might be more to this situation than what is obvious.

I might make a few observations in response to your post. First, it does align with my own certitude that there is more going on here that no one is noticing or talking about.

Hubbard always offered his work in the context of human conflict, and particularly the last great war, when he spent most of his time in the Pacific Theater. He asserted that at the root of our problem are mechanisms that push us into irrational behaviors (or reactions). These are mental mechanisms that we all share and must all learn to rise above. And that is not that easy to do. Yet he believed this process to be the key to lessening human conflict to more tolerable (and livable) levels.

Hubbard became involved in the management of the schools that he founded. And that led him to an interest in subjects like PR. PR involves making good works well known. This becomes a problem if the organization originating the PR has not done anything good. An ethical PR Officer does not lie to the public, as that is the worst PR imaginable. Unethical PR Officers become propagandists. And that is mostly what we see today. We should not de-legitimize the PR profession, though, simply because of all the propaganda being offered as PR. Many people in PR are working hard to stay honest and to keep their organizations honest.

While we must acknowledge a range or "spectrum" of psychopathy, Hubbard had a rule for when a being crosses that line. And that is when the being begins to compulsively stop. A full blown psychopath even works compulsively to stop himself!

Hubbard developed a process designed to rehabilitate the psychopath, but conceded that many would refuse treatment. He then came up with suggestions for handling such people, which mostly consists of social isolation. The problem, of course, is to develop socially acceptable processes for identifying psychopaths so that they can be separated out and handled. So far we have not achieved this.

One method to use when a violent conflict is active or about to heat up is called the Third Party Law. Psychopaths normally act to foment discord by secretly lying to both sides of the conflict. They then use these lies to justify violence. If you can get the fighting parties to meet, you may be able to discover who is lying to them about "the enemy." Of course, the true enemy is the psychopath, and both sides can often be convinced of this fact. I don't know that this has ever been tested at the level of geopolitics. It has been used successfully in businesses. And Tony Muhammad asserts that he has used it to reduce violence between rival gangs in Los Angeles.

Though I try to stay level-headed and rational about Hubbard's contributions, when things get as bad as they are now, it all becomes more urgent. I am well aware that this style of writing cannot "convert" anyone. But the work is there to be studied, has been there since the 1970s, and really does deserve to be studied and discussed. I realize that the fact that this work exists on Earth is in fact hard to believe. I have come to understand that we are very lucky here; that this work has become available through a series of odd events that might well have never happened here. We should take advantage of the fact that these events happened, and at least inform ourselves of this work. It could some day save our butts, It already has saved many.

I really like this.

My multi-webpage study (and forthcoming book) on this subject contains several references to the work of Dr. Robert Hare and the internationally recognized "Gold Standard" test he developed to determine spectrum levels for what I call, socio-psychopathy. My "introductory" website is: www.nomoreinsanity.org.

Did you ever look at Hubbard's work on the Suppressive Person?

No, the only experience I ever had with Scientology was when a wealthy friend of mine asked me to help him evaluate their program(s), back in the mid 70s. We both became quite put off when they kept sending in several different groups of their members to alternately promise all kinds of improved states of mind if ... he would just keep giving them more money to achieve "higher states" of various levels of awareness. We finally told them we weren't interested, but they were quite persistent and eventually approached insulting rudeness over several days of various forms of near harassment.

Never got around to examining their concept of, "Suppressive Person" ... unless that was their live demonstration of same.

I am afraid that's what YOU were demonstrating by going in there as investigators rather than interested parishioners. If you want to investigate Scientology, study their materials and then see if you can apply them independently and measure the results.

Oh, I can assure you that we had studied their material before we invited them to come talk to us. It just rapidly became obvious that there was greed at work on their behalf.

You mean "greed" like wanting to earn a living so you can feed your family?

So what do you think about Hubbard's doctrine of "Fair Game"? From the outside it sounds remarkably similar to your description of psychopathy.

If you want to find out more about this, you should ask my church, not me.

You are referring to something that can only be understood in the context of Hubbard's Ethics and Justice technology. It for sure does not include violence or torture. Every individual and group must set boundaries for itself. You can't avoid doing that and survive.
