Over the last 20 years, my political worldview has developed into this, unfortunately.
Violent pedophiles make up a significant proportion of the ruling class.
These pedophiles film themselves, or film each other, engaging in violent acts of child rape.
This material is then used as leverage to keep members of the elite from straying too far from the Washington consensus (or Brussels, or London, etc.).
Like gambling debts, these materials are traded to the highest bidder as a form of currency. Lacking any shame or moral scruples, it is simply understood that you do what the owners—your masters—want of you. It’s all upside for those involved: money, sex, power, sadism.
Such materials’ mere existence is enough to keep a politician in line, and such materials are rarely if ever made public. In the rare case where someone actually breaks ranks, these people are such prolific sexual deviants that exposure of one of their more “vanilla” sex scandals is enough to end their career: an extramarital affair, sex with an underage “girlfriend,” etc.
Such people can be found in every institution: from churches to police departments to the courts and federal agencies. As in the Franklin Scandal, any accidental exposure can be covered up through targeted assassination, threats, and corruption. Cases brought to trial can be stage-managed by corrupt judges. This interlocking network makes it next to impossible to break through the Overton window of mainstream acknowledgment.
The problem is so pervasive that even those who are not involved are incentivized to cover it up, either out of fear for their own lives and those of their families, or through the damage they envision such an exposure would cause. It thus becomes a problem of “national security.” What would the societal and global reaction be tomorrow if they discovered that 100 household names were violent pedophiles, and countless more lesser-known but just as influential, from local politics to federal?
Because these networks tightly interlock with national power structures, control of these networks becomes a top priority of the intelligence agencies—and by extension, the intelligence agencies themselves become controlled by these networks. Once the “debts” are acquired by these services, the services then own the domestic or foreign targets or networks, and thus their respective governments. This has the dual effect of both selling out the nation to foreign control and globalizing or internationalizing the network (what conspiracists call the “new world order”).
The only way to disempower this multinational ponerogenic network is to destroy the entire political status quo—something no one in the position to do so is willing to do, because it would shake the foundations of their own power (actual or potential). The only alternative is for an outsider to somehow acquire enough such “debts” in order to gain some measure of control over the network—which is probably more difficult than simply tearing it all down and attempting to rebuild.
All of this is to say: this is why it was probably always a pipe dream that the Trump administration would provide any transparency on Epstein. As frustrating as it is, I’m with Scott Adams on this one. The administration’s ham-fisted messaging answers all the big questions:
Are they lying? Of course they are
Did Epstein work with Israel and the U.S.? Of course he did
Was he blackmailing anybody? Of course he was
Are there files that would tell you what’s really going on? Of course there are
Have we been told everything about what’s going on there? Of course we haven’t

Back when I first wrote this article in 2011, I felt the need to preface it with reference to then-topical novel and film, Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, a paranoid thriller blending rape, sadism, human trafficking, white-collar crime, and political corruption. In other words, your average dose of nightly news these days. This was pre-…
Also read Nick Bryant’s book, on which it is based. Bryant was on Shawn Ryan’s show a few times discussing such things. Here are his appearances:
