In this workshop we discussed the section of Chapter 4 on “inherited deviations,” or personality disorders. Topics included:
the differences between characteropahy and psychopathy
the main features of psychopaths and how they differ from neurotics
the formation of a psychopathological/criminal underbelly of society
how the types and number of personality disorders in a region shapes the mentality of a people
how psychopaths make it their goal to revile normality and fight laws designed to punish them
the curse and gift of early experience of evil
the sometimes conflicting psychological components of movements with goals such as “defunding the police”
and more!
During the next session, we will discuss more of Chapter 4 (“ponerogenic phenomena and processes,” “spellbinders,” and “ponerogenic associations”). For readers with the print copy, this will be pages 131-157 (stopping at the section on “ideologies”).
