5

In this workshop we discussed the section of Chapter 4 on “inherited deviations,” or personality disorders. Topics included:

  • the differences between characteropahy and psychopathy

  • the main features of psychopaths and how they differ from neurotics

  • the formation of a psychopathological/criminal underbelly of society

  • how the types and number of personality disorders in a region shapes the mentality of a people

  • how psychopaths make it their goal to revile normality and fight laws designed to punish them

  • the curse and gift of early experience of evil

  • the sometimes conflicting psychological components of movements with goals such as “defunding the police”

  • and more!

During the next session, we will discuss more of Chapter 4 (“ponerogenic phenomena and processes,” “spellbinders,” and “ponerogenic associations”). For readers with the print copy, this will be pages 131-157 (stopping at the section on “ideologies”).

The next session is scheduled for Saturday, January 20 at 12:30 pm.
